Amethyst

Released February 19, 2022. This is when things started getting good for me again. "Popstar" is on here — I was getting more comfortable on the mic and you can hear it. Just said fuck it, I'm gonna rap and have fun today.

The record "Popstar" is me flexing about making 20K in a month, twice your pay, half your age. At the time I was super broke, but again — prophetic. This came to fruition.

Super corny thing I did: I saw in a movie someone using a nail gun sample as percussion. I was literally nailing siding onto my brother's house at the time. So on "Reminiscing" (second track), the snare drum has a layer of an actual nail gun sample that I recorded while working on his property. Hands-on production, literally.
